DEWA

Also called: Dubai Electricity and Water Authority

DEWA is the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, the utility that supplies power and water and whose account must be opened before a home can be occupied.

Connection normally requires a registered Ejari contract or title deed and a refundable deposit.

Cooling is often billed separately from DEWA by a district cooling provider, which is a cost people routinely forget when budgeting.
