Snagging

Snagging is the inspection of a newly completed property to list defects for the developer to fix before or shortly after handover.

It covers finish, fittings, mechanical and electrical work and anything that does not match the specification. Reports are usually produced by an independent inspector.

It matters most at handover, when there is still leverage and a defects liability period running.

Dubai Diligence is an independent property-data service built on official Dubai Land Department records. We are not a brokerage and no developer pays us. This is general information, not legal, financial or tax advice.
