Handover

Handover is the point at which a completed off-plan unit is transferred to the buyer, who can then take possession and have a title deed issued.

It follows completion and the relevant approvals, and is normally when any final payment falls due. Service charges typically begin from handover.

Buyers usually inspect the unit before accepting it, listing defects for the developer to rectify, a process commonly called snagging.
