Payment plan

Also called: post-handover payment plan, 60/40

A payment plan is the schedule of instalments an off-plan buyer pays, usually tied to construction milestones and sometimes continuing after handover.

Plans are described by how the total splits between the build period and handover, for example 60/40. A post-handover plan lets some of the price be paid after keys are received, which can mean rent is coming in while instalments are still going out.

A longer plan lowers the cash needed at the start. It does not lower the price, and the comparison worth making is against what the finished unit is likely to be worth, not against the monthly figure.
