Golden Visa (property route)
The Golden Visa is a long-term UAE residence visa, one route to which is qualifying property ownership at or above a published investment threshold.
The property route is widely cited at an AED 2 million threshold, and the visa is renewable and can cover family members. Eligibility rules, thresholds and the treatment of mortgaged or off-plan property are set by the authorities and have changed over time.
It is a genuine part of why many overseas buyers look at Dubai. It should be confirmed against the current official criteria at the time of purchase rather than taken from any article, including this one.
