Mortgage registration fee
The mortgage registration fee is the Dubai Land Department's charge for recording a mortgage against a property, charged as a small percentage of the loan.
It is separate from the transfer fee and is paid when the mortgage is registered. It is one of the costs a buyer cannot borrow for.
Rates are published by the authorities and can change, so confirm the current schedule at the time of purchase.
